If you don't like MTX, complain loudly and often and eventually, Capcom WILL listen! But you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want more DMC after 5, buy 5 regardless of MTX. It won't have MTX, or be F2P, or anything. If you don't like the MTX, complain! Loudly! Often! Don't let the Capcom PR teams sleep! But if you boycott the game with the expectation that DMC6 won't have MTX.

I have seen this so many times with so many series owned by Capcom. Once the game is out, it doesn't matter how bad it is if it doesn't sell, it's because "consumers don't want X franchise." Capcom, without exception, is a company that will only accept fault BEFORE release. The thing is, a rational company would see the good sales of past games, and try to determine why the new one didn't sell. Breath of Fire had an unpopular game (and was dead for a decade) and then a bad game. And you know what? This kills most franchises it happens to. They always, without exception, attribute it to "lack of interest." Always. They do not and have not, ever, at any time, assumed fault when a game fails to sell. If DMC5 fails, there will NOT BE a 6! Capcom is remarkably consistent about this. If you plan to boycott this game because of MTX, which you have the right to do, you MUST also acknowledge that you are contributing to the failure of this game, and therefore the series. That's why it's there.I've said this several times now, but since we have a megathread.
